As every day passes Indian Football is reaching new heights. Sunil Chhetri's Presense, Experience & Leadership skill is benefiting Indian players . India have lots of young guns like apuia , Sahal , Thapa, Akash Mishra, Liston, Narendar, Nishu, Rahul KP etc .. But , if look at the Indian coach Igor , his strategies are good but if indian football have to progress faster than , India have to appoint an Indian coach . Khalid Jamil can be the coach who can turn around India's fortun, The way he managed NORTHEAST UNITED was just incredible.
India's biggest trouble in last few year's was lack of fans support, but in nowdays the support Indian Football is receiving is huge. India still need some technical support as well. Indian players need to have more experience, game sense with tough opponents. This could only happen if Indian players play in foreign leagues. Only two current indian players have played in Europe. Though Indian Super League is improving day by day as experienced foreign players are participating in it, playing outside Asia will definitely help them . A year ago india played against Quatar the FIFA world cup hosts & almost won that match as they were leading till 70 min. but they failed to protect that lead & gave away 2 goals . This should be improved may be through well structured scounting process or any other better means.
